D9: Evaluation

My project: Questionable: -The text-only description made it hard to understand the rules. -It may not be clear to the users what is the end-goal of the game. Cool: -Making the story+music connection. -The testers had fun of felt relaxed playing this game. - Open natural of game made players excited. Confusing -Rules were long/not clear, which confused players initially. -What was the goal for the players to accomplish in the game. Testers were not understandable. "Cuh"-feelings: -Joy -Excitement -Relaxation My partner's project: Questionable: -Although pure talking presentation is cool, sometime it will lost focus without slides. -The final purpose is educational for tech or for playful? Cool: - Using comics to present the tech history is an innovative, understandable and visual way. -The tester enjoy the story of comics and acquire knowledge about tech development -An new way to describe tech from human perspective. D8: Prototype

Questions: How to use music to create a story emotionally? Roles: It can be a table game. When players has party or social event, they can play this to share ideas, exchange feeling, and juts for fun. Prototype: After introducing the game rule, player basically just need a pen and paper to experience this game. Game Rules: 1. Open the music player 2. Randomly play 5 songs in your music list (if your fifth song is pure music without lyrics, continue playing until the next song has lyrics) 3. Pick one player as the author and the rest as the reader 4. First the author writes the first lyrics of his/her song, the reader on his right hand side (the first reader) writes the second lyrics of his/her song, and so on, only everyone writes on their own paper. Under your own lyrics. 5. The author loops through his own songs and reads his own lyrics. The reader on his right hand (the last reader) then reads his lyrics. These two lyrics are the beginning of the story. 6. Each person...

D7: Interactive Forms

图片
I refined my 2 questions. The first one is how to make film interactive emotionally? and the second one is from the perspective of mobile phones, how their life might looks like? Then, I pick up three form post and paired them with my former question, including video, game and music because I think these 3 from are able to address my problem domain. After that, I briefly expanded 3 ideas based on different form: ( 1.) Video: When audience are watch this video, their emotion reactions will be detected. According to their reactions, the plots will continually shift and different endings will also be triggered. (2.)Game: player can select different options based on their emotions, then triggering different stories during the game. (3.)Music: the animation projected on interface will keep change based on audience feeling. Feedback: Creating a game have different ending is interesting. Reference on Movie "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch". It talk about exploring a vi...

D6: Question Refinement

Part 1: Taran: How to use AR/VR/ML in healthcare and medical education and 3D printing for making instruments? I think it is a great idea because using ML can study a large number of precedents. Therefore, ML can get a more accurate diagnosis mathematically than experienced doctor. Also, using AR/VR is a cheaper and safer method on surgery training and more related aspects. Jiangnan: How can math go off? Although math play a important role on tech development, but it is not everything. I believe that the purpose of using math to develop tech and science is for helping people better understand the world. It is a good tool. Adding some humanities contents might make math go off not only because it is hard to building a digital model, but also it can make math invisible from user interface. Billy: Machine faking as human craftsmanships. I think it is unnecessary to fake human craftsmanships because machine made and human craftsmanships are 2 different things. One is efficient...

D5: Design Inspiration - IPod

In terms of my design inspiration, I believe the success of the iPod music player is because its design involves creating interactive products that have a quality user experience. It has fancy appearance, high usability,  elegant style and  distinct family of rainbow colors. It is very welcomed for teenagers, students, and others alike because it provide a pleasure experience to user, not only music but also education. https://www.macworld.com/article/1163181/the-birth-of-the-ipod.html
